The Elon Noyce Scholars Program has extended its deadline for scholarship applications to April 9th. Current sophomores who are interested in becoming high school science or math teachers should apply. The scholarships provide $21,900 of funding in the junior year, and $21,900 again in the senior year, for a total of $43,800 in scholarship. On a per-year basis, the Noyce Scholarship is the largest individual academic scholarship available to an Elon undergraduate. Scholars also receive funding for extra professional development opportunities during their time at Elon, and during the first two years of their teaching. In return for these opportunities, scholarship recipients are required to complete four years of teaching in a US high-need school district. Apply here.
