Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, moderated a March 30 panel discussion in the 2012 MIT Global Startup Workshop in Istanbul, Turkey.
The workshop theme was “Directions for Innovation.”
The “Incubating Entrepreneurship” panel discussed strategies, obstacles and examples of incubating and accelerating high growth entrepreneurial ventures. Panelists included Antoine Verdon, co-founder & CEO of Sandbox; Erhan Erkut, founding rector of Ozyegin University; and Ovidiu Bujorean, innovation program manager for The Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Initiative, CRDF Global.
Palin also presented, along with Jayoung Yoon, founder of StyleShare; Mario Garcia, founder of ArcticPod and Ian McKinnon, founder Xtreamis, in the ‘Making the Most of the MIT Global Startup Workshop’ during the opening ceremony.
The MIT Global Startup Workshop is the world’s premier conference on fostering entrepreneurship through supportive and catalytic infrastructure such as that epitomized by MIT’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
