Professor Kevin Boyle read three poems at the Nazim Hikmet Poetry Festival in Cary, N.C., on April 15. The poems feature a talking dog (“Reading the Bible With a Lapdog on My Lap”), a depressing take on the Occupy Movement (“The 100%” about the Occupy Graveyard Movement), and a speaker who compares his situation with the troubles facing Noah’s son (“Ham Is Toast, Ham I Am”).
