Tom Nelson, an associate professor in the School of Communications, presented his documentary "Prisoners of Plenty" to the Popular Culture Association.
The PCA’s national convention was in Boston on April 18 where Nelson’s The documentary, shown at PCA’s April 18 national convention in Boston, focuses on a POW camp for captured German military during World War Two located in Concordia, Kan.
The camp operated from 1943 to 1945 and held more than 4,000 prisoners. It is now primarily a cornfield within the small town, though its signature guard tower remains.
Nelson produced and directed “Prisoners of Plenty,” which was completed in 2009.
