Students in the Elon in Los Angeles program will have the opportunity to visit The Getty Center Sunday, July 1.
The Getty Center in Los Angeles presents the Getty’s collection of European and American art from the Middle ages to the present against a dramatic backdrop of architecture, tranquil gardens and breathtaking views.
Some of the current exhibitions include:
- Herb Ritts: L.A. Style
- In Focus: Picturing Landscapes
- The Life of Art: Context, Collecting and Displaying
- Drama and Devotion: Heemskerck’s “Ecce Homo” Altarpiece from Warsaw
Students can also sketch in their gardens and take garden and architecture tours. Students can come whenever they’d like (between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST) and explore one of the country’s most renowned museums. For more information see: http://www.getty.edu/visit/exhibitions/
