Jozi Snowberger '07 and Durice White '09 now play larger roles in engaging alumni as partners, advocates and investors at Elon.

Two young alumni whose work developing annual giving programs and new alumni affinity groups have been promoted in the University Advancement division of Elon University.
Jozi Snowberger ’07 has been named associate director of the Office of Annual Giving, while Durice White ’09 is now assistant director of alumni engagement in the Office of Alumni Engagement.
Snowberger, who joined the university staff shortly after graduating in 2007, is responsible for leadership and coordination of the university’s giving outreach programs to alumni of all ages, affinities and class years, including the university’s IGNITE program for young alumni giving and student giving. She also is responsible for the supervision of the Phonathon program.
A graduate of Elon’s leisure and sport management program – now sport and event management – Snowberger was a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Fraternity while an undergraduate. She was named the 2005-’06 Leisure and Sport Management Underclassman of the Year and the 2006-’07 Leisure and Sport Management Major of the Year, and she served as president of the Sport and Event Management Society from 2005-2007.
Prior to her promotion, Snowberger served as assistant director of Annual Giving & Parent Programs. Last fall she completed the Duke University Non-Profit Management Certificate Program.
Also a graduate of Elon’s leisure and sport management program, White will continue to manage affinity networks that she helped coordinate or launch, including the Black Alumni Network, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex/Inquiry and Ally Network, and other shared identity groups.
She assumes full responsibility for managing Homecoming Weekend, which includes affinity and class reunions that she has been coordinating to date. Working with several of Elon’s graduate programs to establish alumni programming and launching the family visit program will also be key initiatives that White will oversee. Additionally, she will lead specific elements of communications for the office, including overseeing the communications schedule for external campus constituents.
White was active at Elon in the Diversity Emerging Education Program, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the Student Mentoring and Advising Rising Talent program, and the Leisure & Sport Management Society. After her graduation from Elon and prior to joining the university staff, White worked for two years as the multicultural event marketing representative for ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Atlanta.
She is currently enrolled in the university’s MBA program with an anticipated graduation date in May 2014.
