Michael Rodriguez, assistant professor of marketing, served as a panelist at the American Marketing Association’s 2012 Summer Marketing Educators’ Conference on August 18.
The panel, “Perspectives of Personal Selling and Social Media: A Panel Discussion on Contemporary Topics,” brought together the authors of recent articles published in the social media issue of the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management. Each panelist briefly discussed their paper and the relevance of social media in marketing and sales in today’s economy, and was followed by a question and answer session.
The other panelists included: Raj Agnihotri, William Paterson University; James ‘Mick’ Andzulis, University of Alabama; Michael Levin, Otterbein University; William Moncrief, Texas Christian University; and Kevin Trainor, Northern Arizona University. Adam Rapp, University of Alabama, served as the chair, and Michael Ahearne, University of Houston, served as the discussant.
