Professor Michael Fels, chair of the Art & Art History Department, has sculptures on exhibit in two Detroit venues

Michael Fels recently had a large scale sculpture accepted into permanent collection by the city of Detroit.

Fels’ steel and wood sculpture will be a permanent fixture in downtown Detroit as part of the Woodbridge Public Art Project.

Fels also currently has a one-person show of sculptures that will be on exhibit for 1 year in the sculpture garden of the well-known Scarab Club Gallery in Detroit, Michigan. The Scarab Club Gallery is the state’s most historic art venue. Since the gallery’s founding in 1907, the Scarab Club continues to be a driving force in the artistic community and serves as a cultural stimulant for artistic diversity in the 21st century.
