Stacy Outlaw joins the Elon community this month as the director of undergraduate programs for the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
Outlaw comes to Elon from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a senior academic advisor for seven years, advising over 16,000 students in the college of arts and sciences program.
Prior to UNC-Chapel Hill, Outlaw completed an internship in academic advising at Emory University and practicum work at Appalachian State University and a local community college.
Outlaw’s responsibilities in her new role include mentoring Elon’s Enactus chapter (formerly known as SIFE) and the Business Learning Community, further developing the LSB’s Executive-in-Residence series, and assisting the Porter Family Professional Development Center meet the professional development needs of business students.
“When you come into a new environment,” Outlaw said, “you just want to learn all you can. Everyone in the LSB and at Elon have been great and really helpful and supportive.”
She is currently focusing on adapting to Elon’s culture and looks forward to working with business students and collaborating with other offices on campus.
Outlaw received a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, a master’s degree from Appalachian State and is currently working on her doctorate at North Carolina State University.
