Darris Means ’05, associate director of the Elon Academy, recently received a $325 research grant from the Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA). SACSA provides annual funds to support graduate students and professionals in the field of higher education/student affairs who are conducting research.
Means is a Ph.D. student at North Carolina State University pursuing his degree in Education Research and Policy Analysis with a concentration in higher education. He will use the award to support his dissertation research on the spiritual narratives of black gay male college students.
