Helping graduates achieve global competence is a key strategic goal for many institutions. As all sectors of the economy extend beyond linguistic and cultural borders, there is increasing demand for employees with intercultural and multilingual skills. At the same time, we are seeing a systemic decreasing of language departments and majors across higher education institutions. Institutions are short-changing students if they neglect to provide opportunities for students to apply their multilingual and intercultural knowledge in meaningful ways in courses throughout the curriculum. In this webinar, join Diana Davies (Princeton), Suronda Gonzalez (Binghampton), and C.K. Kwai (Maine) as they explore existing models, suggest how to build a language and culture across the curriculum program, and set guidelines on how you can develop a customized program for your own campus.
This webinar is co-sponsored by CATL and the Isabella Cannon Global Education Center.
