Workshop: Teaching International Students, with Jessie Moore and Francois Masuka

International students enrich our campus in numerous ways. They also encounter difficulties in simultaneously navigating a range of academic and non-academic obstacles. In this workshop we will discuss strategies to help ensure the academic success of international students, including awareness of cultural differences in interpersonal interactions, facilitating classroom participation, and responding to students’ writing in English as an additional language.
