Numen Lumen on Feb. 14

On Thursday come out to the renamed College Chapel, now Numen Lumen! This is not religious, but rather a time of reflection complimented by a guest speaker and live musical selections.

This week’s speaker is Melissa Jordan, associate director of the Multicultural Center.

Beginning this spring, College Chapel was renamed and re-envisioned to reflect Elon’s continuing commitment to providing interfaith worship and reflection opportunities. This new service, called Numen Lumen, means spiritual and intellectual light.

Each week we invite the campus community to come together to reflect on the ways in which their spiritual commitments and academic pursuits shape their lives.

Numen Lumen is a time and space to take a break from the busyness of the week and refresh the spirit. It is not a worship service, rather a time of reflection and inspiration offered by a member of the Elon community or a guest speaker. All are welcome!

Make plans to take a break for a few minutes each Thursday in the new Multi-faith center for presentations by faculty, staff, guest speakers and students, complimented by live music offered by talented student & faculty musicians.
