Wednesday, March 6th, DHL Global Forwarding, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., Moseley 103

The Business German Speaker Series, in cooperation with the Student Professional Development Center and with generous support from the Fund for Excellence in the Arts and Sciences, is pleased to announce that Mr. Burkhard Nagel, Trade Lane Manager for DHL Global Forwarding (http://www.dhl-dgf.com), will be visiting Elon on Wednesday, 06 March, and giving a special presentation at 4:30 PM in Moseley 103. The presentation is open to students, faculty, and the community. Some topics Mr. Nagel will address include:

• The daily operations of DHL Global Forwarding at its Atlanta site;
• Current challenges facing the company and future growth opportunities;
• The corporate Group Strategy 2015 (GoGreen, GoHelp, GoTeach); and
• How knowledge of the German language and culture is essential for a career in global logistics and freight forwarding services.

DHL Global Forwarding is part of Deutsche Post DHL (http://www.dhl.com/en.html). The Group generated revenue of more than 52.8 billion euros (69.67 billion US dollars) in 2011 and is today the global market leader of the international express and logistics industry.

This is certainly not a presentation to miss, especially since for many of our students their first employment opportunities may very well be outside of the United States.
