From the Burlington Times-News (3/11/13): A new application for your smartphone will help make you an open government watchdog.
The app, released by The Sunshine Center of the North Carolina Open Government Coalition, provides citizens of the state information about public records and open meetings wherever they are. The app was made available at the start of the state’s Sunshine Day workshop March 11 at N.C. State University.
The app, called “Sunshine,” will help bridge the gap between seekers and holders of public government records, and it’s available for download in both the iTunes App Store and Android Market. Just type “NC Sunshine” in the search field to find the app easily, according to a press release.
