Associate Professor of Spanish Donna Van Bodegraven, together with Bill Burress, Anna Lainfiesta and Elizabeth Snell of the Isabella Cannon Global Education Center, co-presented a pre-conference workshop at the annual conference of the North Carolina Association of International Educators.
The conference was held at North Carolina A&T University on March 7-8.
During the four-hour workshop, entitled “Developing Short-Term Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs,” and using hands-on activities, engaged question-and-answer sessions as well as formal presentation, the team led participants through all the steps in creating a short-term study abroad program from conceiving the course and writing the proposal, through budget creation, orientation, best practices in country, communication between faculty and staff, and post-experience reflection and assessment.
