From the Lumina News (3/27/13): Violations of public records and open meetings laws could be a misdemeanor crime under a bill sponsored by Sen. Thom Goolsby.
Senate Bill 125 is among several bills Goolsby, R-New Hanover, has sponsored addressing public access to state and local government and what records should and should not be open.
“The default is they’re all open to the public; every meeting is open to the public,” Goolsby said in a March 14 phone interview.
