Shimron joined collegiate and high-school teachers in Cincinatti recently to grade free-response questions on the College Board's AP Music Theory exam.
This years marks the third invitation from ETS (Educations Testing Services) for Associate Professor of Music Omri Shimron to serve as a reader for the AP Music Theory exam. Free response questions in the Music Theory exam include a variety of tasks including four-part writing, harmonization, melodic and harmonic dictation, sight singing and composition.
The reading took place at the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati, from June 12-18. Approximately 18,000 exams were administed this year in the Music Theory category.
