Strings, Jacks and Hammers: Music for Keyboard and Viola

The viola, which is often heard as part of a string quartet or an orchestra, seldom receives the spotlight it deserves. In this collaborative recital, Omri Shimron in Elon’s Department of Music joins forces with violist Kirsten Swanson on both the piano and the harpsichord, performing works by C.P.E. Bach, Brahms, Prokofiev, and Arvo Pärt.
