Senior Danielle White has been selected to receive a scholarship from the international honor society Beta Gamma Sigma.
White, who was inducted into the honor society last spring, was chosen for her superior performance in the study of business. She will receive a $1,000 scholarship to continue her education in the 2013-14 academic year.
White is studying management in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. She is a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon and Phi Eta Sigma, and was the 2012-13 vice president of Phi Kappa Phi.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate program at a school accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
To be eligible for membership, the academic ranking of those being considered must place them in the upper 10 percent of their junior or senior class, or upper 20 percent of the graduating master’s class. Members inducted each year join an expanding worldwide network of more than 700,000 business professionals.
Elon’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma was established in 2004 and is advised by Raghu Tadepalli, dean of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
