Bob Frigo, Associate Director of Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement Chicago native Bob Frigo has a master’s degree in Irish literature from Queen’s University Belfast, a master’s in student personnel services from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in English from Marquette University. Prior to coming to Elon, Bob served as the senior assistant director of Park Scholarships at N.C. State University, assistant director of the University Honors Program at Georgia Southern University, director of the study center in the Center for British-American Studies and director of student involvement at the Savannah College of Art and Design and student activities coordinator in the Guild of Students at the University of Birmingham. He is married to Stefanie Frigo, an assistant professor at N.C. Central University. They have two sons, Jack, 5 and Max, 1. In his spare time, Bob enjoys traveling, brewing beer, volunteering and playing superheroes with his sons. |

Anupama Pal, Reference Librarian Anupama Pal comes to Elon from Chicago. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a juris doctorate from The John Marshall Law School and a master’s in library science from the University of Illinios Urbana Champaign. Anupama’s first law librarianship will be at Elon, and she is excited to join the staff. She also has family nearby and is happy to be close to them. She enjoys reading, photography, traveling, running, biking and baking. |

Khyandra Murrain, Graduate Intern in Multicultural Center A native North Carolinian, Khyandra Murrain graduated from Elon in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. As an Elon student, Khyandra worked in the Multicultural Center as a student program coordinator. She is excited to continue contributing to the program. She enjoys dancing, choreographing, playing tennis, singing in a gospel choir and reading. |

Deanna Fox, Graduate Intern in Multicultural Center Deanna Fox graduated from Elon in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in human service studies. She is looking forward to helping the new staff transition into the Multicultural Center. She enjoys playing softball and singing. |

Matt Kingsbury, Assistant Athletic Trainer Matt Kingsbury comes to Elon from Virginia Beach. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Shenandoah University. He played football for three years before getting accepted into the athletic training graduate program at Shenandoah. He enhanced his education by performing clinical rotations with the football team at the University of Arizona and the men’s lacrosse team at Georgetown University. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, obstacle course racing and is currently seeking opportunities to pursue rock climbing. He was drawn to Elon because of its commitment to bettering the student experience and the sustained growth of the university. |

Alissa Jaster, Athletic Trainer A native of Commerce, Mich., Alissa Jaster has her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Education in exercise science from Auburn University. She’s worked in athletics at the University of Florida, Auburn University and in the warrior training program in the Army. She plans to marry Tyler VanSetten on September 21. She has a dog named Raja, and enjoys exercising, kickboxing, hiking, rock climbing and going to the beach. She is looking forward to working with the athletics department and says that Elon feels like one big family to her. |

Jill Hollis, Alumni Engagement Officer Jill Hollis, who is originally from Lakeland, Fla., graduated from Elon in 2013. She is excited to start her professional career here. She has previously interned at RF Binder in New York, MadMonk Interactive in Greensboro, RLF Communications in Greensboro and United Way of Alamance County. She enjoys going to the beach and participating in outdoor activities. She really loves traveling and immersing herself in other cultures. |

Maggie Sheridan, Academic Advising Fellow Maggie Sheridan comes to Elon from San Mateo, Fla. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Stetson University in DeLand, Fla. While at Stetson, she was deeply involved in student engagement and service-learning initiatives. When she was a graduate student, she co-taught entry-level English courses and worked in the office of Career Development and Academic Advising. She enjoys reading and watching TV marathons of her favorite shows, such as“Gilmore Girls,” “Boy Meets World” and “Criminal Minds.” She writes a personal blog called “Life Unscripted: Where Stereotypes Go to Die.” She also enjoys spending time with her family because they keep her grounded, hopeful and inspired. She is looking forward to helping Elon students transition into college life and working with the team in Academic Advising. |

Nikida Jeffreys, Evening Library Specialist A Burlington native, Nikida Jeffreys has a bachelor’s degree in history from Guilford College. She has previously worked for Alamance County public libraries. She enjoys reading in her spare time. She recently finished “Dead Ever After” by Charlaine Harris, the last book in a 13-volume series. She also likes to check out popular audiovisual materials that the library carries. She has two dogs, Pooh and Bear. Elon represents a new beginning for Nikida. She believes she will be able to make a big impact through her work and hopes to constantly flourish. She is appreciative of the opportunity and is proud to call herself a Phoenix. |

Danny Lanier Jr., Assistant Professor of Accounting Danny Lanier, a native of Atlanta, was drawn to Elon’s beautiful campus and the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. He wanted to be part of a campus community that valued high-quality teaching and scholarship. He has a bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University and a doctorate from the University of Georgia. He has previously taught at Texas Christian University, Syracuse University and Wake Forest University. In his spare time, Danny enjoys reading, working out and watching football. |

Robin Attas, Assistant Professor of Music Robin Attas comes to Elon from Canada. She has a master’s degree and doctorate in music theory from the University of British Columbia. She also served as a guest lecturer in the School of Music at the University of British Columbia. She is married to Nicolás Narváez Soza and has a two-year-old son, Josué Narváez Attas. She enjoys doing yoga, completing triathlons and reading. Elon’s small class sizes, committed and friendly faculty and staff as well as the opportunity to build courses in music theory appeal to her. |

Justin Carter, Assistant Equipment Manager A native of Hillsborough, N.C., Justin Carter graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in recreation management and a minor in business administration. Before joining Elon’s staff, he worked as an assistant athletic supervisor for the Graham Recreation and Parks Department. He’s engaged to Kayla Stokes and enjoys watching sports in his free time. Justin has always wanted to work in college athletics and is excited to be able to do so close to home. |

Robert “Christopher” Long, Men’s Basketball Director of Operations Chris Long is an Elon alum from Charleston, W. Va. Prior to joining Elon’s staff, he was a professional basketball player. In his free time, Chris enjoys playing golf. |
