Join Campus Kitchen, Elon students, faculty, staff and alumni in the annual Stop Hunger Now Homecoming event on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon in East Gym.
This event fosters the collaboration of students, faculty and staff and alumni in an exciting atmosphere. Music will be playing as volunteers are packaging meals in an assembly line process and light refreshments will be provided. This year we have committed to packaging 40,000 meals, which means we will need at least 200 volunteers to help us accomplish our goal. This is a wonderful opportunity to get three hours of service.
Stop Hunger Now’s mission is “To end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-saving aid to the world’s most vulnerable and by creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources”.
For more information, check out the Stop Hunger Now website or check out previous articles about the event on E-net.
