Women's soccer makes first appearance in NSCAA regional rankings

The Phoenix are tied for 10th in the Oct. 29, 2013, NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Women's - Southeast poll.

Having one of its best seasons in program history, the Elon University women’s soccer team has entered the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Southeast Region Poll, earning a No. 10 ranking.

It marks the program’s first regional ranking since making the transition to the Division I ranks. The Phoenix is tied with Clemson and Florida Gulf Coast in the ranking.
 
The Phoenix currently owns an 11-2-5 (5-1-3 Southern Conference) record, including an unbeaten mark of 6-0-3 at home. Nationally, the maroon and gold ranks fifth in the nation in scoring at 2.72 goals per game. Elon has not been shut out this season and has scored three or more goals in 10-of-18 matches.
 
Elon closes the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at UNCG. The team is led by head coach Chris Neal.
