Katie Nash, archivist and special collections librarian, and Patrick Rudd, coordinator of access services and instruction, recently presented together at the Tri State Archivists Conference in Greenville, S.C.
The Tri State Archivists Conference in Greenville, S.C. included members from the Society of North Carolina Archivists, Society of South Carolina Archivists and the Society of Georgia Archivists. The title of Nash and Rudd’s presentation was “All Together Now!: Archives as Collaborative Space.” Rudd and Nash discussed the collaboration between Belk Library and faculty in the School of Education in which they worked together to teach undergraduate education majors how to find and select relevant primary sources in archival repositories and the most effective ways to incorporate them in their lesson plans to assist with meeting Common Core goals.
