Developing and Sustaining Adult Learners is the second volume in a series of scholarly publications associated with the annual Adult Higher Education Alliance.
Elon University Registrar Rodney Parks has contributed a chapter to a new book called Developing and Sustaining Adult Learners. The book encompasses significant issues and questions at the forefront of the field of adult education.
Parks teamed up with the registrar at the University of Georgia to submit a chapter titled “Changes in Academic Rigor Over Time: A Transformative Learning Approach to Higher Education.”
The research explores the unique experiences of non-traditional students returning to traditional college campuses after a 20-year hiatus. The goal of the research was to better understand individual challenges these students face and more effectively assist them in degree completion
