Angela O. Ansah, associate dean in the School of Education, was quoted in an article in Belgium's "N'Go Cooperation au Développement Relations Humaines" magazine.
Angela Ansah is involved in intercultural training and consulting with an international group by the name of Cultural Detective (CD). She was asked to represent the group in an article featuring the underpinnings and value of intercultural training in international cooperation and development settings.
In a telephone interview with Belgian magazine N’Go, Ansah emphasized the uniqueness of the training CD provides in that it emphasizes universality of the values of each culture, the potential for each culture’s value to have a counter narrative, the distinctiveness of individual values from the stereotype, opportunities for insights into other cultures, and the ability to bridge interculturally without having to be an expert in every culture.
“N’Go Cooperation au Développement Relations Humaines” provides tools from a range of experts on the development of cooperation in particular areas that enhance attitude and human behavior, i.e., organizational behavior.
