Jeff Clark, professor of mathematics, and Karen Yokley, assistant professor of mathematics, presented at the 2014 MAA Southeastern Section meeting.
Jeff Clark, professor of mathematics, and Karen Yokley, assistant professor of mathematics, recently gave presentations at the Mathematical Association of America Southeastern Section (MAA-SE) annual meeting at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tenn. Clark’s presentation, “Honest Multivariable Calculus,” discussed examples used in teaching with a Computer Algebra System. Yokley’s presentation, “Magic Polygrams,” focused on arrangements of numbers with particular properties, and the magic polygram research involved alumna Amanda Bienz ’12 and Crista Arangala, associate professor of mathematics. Yokley was also featured in the panel discussion presented by Project NExT about promotion and tenure.
