The senior Spanish and international studies major will teach English in Spain.
Lily Siegal, a senior Spanish and international studies major, has been selected for the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE) program to teach English in Spain during the 2014-15 academic year.
After summer TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training, Siegal will teach English in a public school in a rural or urban environment. Siegal spent fall of her junior year in Argentina, an experience which informed her senior seminar project on the impact of censorship during Argentina’s dirty war on authors, publishing and the language of average Argentine citizens.
