Katie Nash, special collections librarian and archivist, has been accepted into the Traveling Archivist Program that is administered by the State Archives of North Carolina.
As part of this program, Nash will participate in the field service program that provides collection assessment, training, instruction and some supplies to North Carolina cultural repositories that hold archival materials. Nash will participate in a day long training workshop, in addition to visiting an institution under the guidance of the state’s current traveling archivist and former State Archivist, Dick Lankford. A handful of archivists around the state were selected to deliver field services for the Traveling Archivist Program.
