With several construction projects underway on Elon's campus, motorists will want to be familiar with changes in parking and roadways. See this note for details.
Beginning May 27, all parking adjacent to Moseley Center will close permanently to allow for construction of the new quad in front of Inman Admissions Welcome Center. Admissions visitor parking spaces formerly in the Moseley lot will be relocated across the street to the front row of spaces in McMichael Science Center parking lot. The McMichael lot will serve admissions visitors until the new Inman Admissions Welcome Center lot on the north side of the building opens in early 2015.
In addition, a portion of Phoenix Drive, which connects Williamson Avenue and North O’Kelly Avenue, will be closed from June 2 until about June 20. Phoenix Drive will be resurfaced from Williamson Avenue to the location of the Phoenix Rising sculpture. The eastern section of Phoenix drive will remain open, allowing for access to Loy Center and the Global Neighborhood parking lot.
In late June, the North Carolina Department of Transportation will be resurfacing Williamson Avenue from Ball Park Drive to University Drive. The daily work schedule will be 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
