The associate professor of music conducted a two-day professional workshop for public school elementary, middle and high school music teachers.
Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities Stephen A. Futrell returned in early June from presenting a professional development workshop for 37 music teachers in LaFourche Parish, Lousiana.
Elementary general music teachers as well as middle and high school choral and band directors comprised the group of attendees. The two-day workshop included topical sessions: “Techniques for Teaching Sight Reading,” “Vocal Technique?Vocal Healthfor Teachers/Directors,” “Conducting Technique & Gesture.”
