Professor of Music Thomas Erdmann has two articles published in a professional saxophone journal.
Professor Thomas Erdmann in the Department of Music had two articles published in the July/August 2014 issue of Saxophone Today.
The first is saxophonist Billy Kerr. Kerr began his career in New York City playing in Broadway show pit orchestras and for studio sessions. After doing this for 25 years, he moved to Montreal and worked the studio and club scene there for seven years. He then moved to Los Angeles and has been a fixture in West Coast studios, playing on recording and movie soundtracks, ever sense. The other article is on Nancy Newman. Nancy is a Los Angeles studio musician who specializes on playing the large instruments—baritone saxophone, bass saxophone, contrabass saxophone, bass clarinet, contrabass clarinet and bassoon.
