The fourth class of participants in a program organized by a professor in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business learned about topics such as sales culture, communication styles and value proposition.
Boston-based financial services company John Hancock sent its fourth class to Elon University this summer to go through the Elon Sales Leadership Program in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
The program, organized by Assistant Professor Michael Rodriguez, director of the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center, is a three-day training experience where sales professionals go through sales development, process, and role-play simulations. Each participant is then coached for 30 days after the program to provide reinforcement training.
Over 80 professionals have earned their certificate. Topics covered:
- Sales Culture
- Communication Styles
- Needs Identification
- Value Proposition
- Gaining Commitment
“We’re very pleased with the Elon Sales Leadership program and the coaching that is provided afterwards,” said Bob Carroll, national sales manager for John Hancock Retirement Plan Services. “The training has further strengthened the skills set of our sales team and better equipped them to be a leader within their territory.”
