Information shared will include Strategies for Supervisors on how to deliver a difficult conversation successfully. This includes solution-focused strategies to respond to bad behavior, how to criticize without trampling egos: the do’s and don’ts, how to keep disagreements from escalating into arguments, and a 3-step model to identify which issues are worth confronting. Additionally, Conversational Skills will be addressed on how to encourage open lines of communication; how to stay cool under fire: pointers to keep emotion out of your conversation, how to use specific follow-up techniques to change negative behavior, how to resolve conflict and still maintain a positive relationship, and how to stop gossip & negativity: clean up the potential backlash.
