On Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., join the International Civil Rights Center & Museum and Elon Law in celebrating the 150th anniversary of the 13th Amendment, the first of the civil rights amendments. Speaker William M. Carter, Jr., dean and professor of law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, will lead a conversation about the 13th Amendment and its use in contemporary civil rights legislation and litigation.
