The new ecumenical Christian worship service moves to 8:15 p.m. Wednesdays in the Sacred Space starting September 17.
ONE is a collaboration of Christian ministries at Elon University, welcoming everyone, appreciating our diversity, celebrating our unity in Christ. We meet Wednesdays at 8:15 p.m. in the Sacred Space. Most weeks, the format is just worship, mostly contemporary and sometimes gospel or contemplative.
ONE offers “a worship break” from studies for about 30 minutes, followed by cookies and fellowship. It’s a chance to worship with Christians from different groups on campus and from different backgrounds, to experience different forms of Christian worship, and to worship in a space that welcomes and affirms all persons. All are welcome, regardless of faith tradition.
Upcoming ONE Events:
- September 17 at 8:15 p.m. in Sacred Space – Worship led by students from LEAF (Lutherans, Episcopalians, and Friends), PSF (Presbyterian Student Fellowship), and BAM (Baptist Associated Ministries).
- September 24 at 7:00 p.m. in Holt Chapel – ONE will join with CCM (Catholic Campus Ministries) for Taizé with Mass following at 7:40 p.m.
Please note that Taizé on September 24 is at 7 p.m. in Holt Chapel. ONE is organized by Joel Harter, the Associate Chaplain for Protestant Life, and collaborates periodically with Catholic Campus Ministires to offer Taizé on campus.
Check the E-Net Calendar for exact time, location, and theme each week. Contact Joel Harter for more info and to join the ONE email list.
