On-site registration takes place at the Koury Athletic Center on Friday from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. for weekend events that include a picnic and tailgating.
Elon University families and friends return to campus Sept. 19-21, 2014, for a weekend highlighted by a football game and tailgating, opportunities to meet professors, a university update from Provost Steven House, and breakfast with Elon President Leo M. Lambert and his wife, Laurie, on Sunday morning.
The Family Weekend schedule is a tightly packed opportunity for parents and family members to experience Elon University from a unique perspective. Visit the online schedule of events for more details on all programs.
Several programs have sold out or are now full, including the ‘Collage’ performances by students in the Department of Performing Arts; a Friday golf tournament; and the campus tour for grandparents.

FRIDAY
8:30 p.m.
The Music Department Faculty Concert, Whitley Auditorium
Faculty artists invite Elon families and friends to a mixed program for voice, piano, organ, percussion, wind and brass. This program has been a big hit since it began in 1999 – come and enjoy what is sure to be a great show.
SATURDAY
9-9:30 a.m.
University Update, McCrary Theatre, Center for the Arts
Provost Steven House will welcome families and bring you up to date on the university.
9:30-11 a.m.
“Meet and Greet” Professors
Enjoy informal conversations with your student’s professors. Faculty members’ locations are printed on your student’s guide that is available at registration.
12-1:30 p.m. (TICKETED EVENT: $7 for adults/$5 for children)
Family Weekend Picnic Lunch, Global Neighborhood Promenade
Enjoy a healthy lunch with your student near lovely Lake Mary Nell. (Vegetarian and gluten free options are available with online registration pre-orders.) Student meal plans are not able to be honored at this event.
4-5:30 p.m.
Silver Jubilee Catholic Mass, McCrary Theatre
Elon Catholic Campus Ministry invites all Catholic students and families to celebrate its 25th Anniversary Mass with Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of the Diocese of Raleigh, NC, and Father Gerry Waterman, OFM Conv. – Catholic Campus Minister. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
4-6:30 p.m. (TICKETED EVENT: $12 for adults/$7 for children)
Family Weekend Tailgate, Global Neighborhood Promenade
Join us for a fun-filled tailgate event and a traditional North Carolina BBQ with western style chopped barbecue pork and chicken plus all the fixin’s. (Vegetarian and gluten free options are available with online registration pre-orders.) Student meal plans are not able to be honored at this event.
5:30-6:45 p.m. (TICKETED EVENT: $35)
Silver Jubilee Dinner, McKinnon Hall, Moseley Center
Elon Catholic Campus Ministry continues the celebration with a special 25th Anniversary “tailgate” in McKinnon Hall immediately following Mass. Honored guests include Bishop Michael F. Burbidge and Provost Steven House. (Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available with online registration pre-orders.) Student meal plans are not able to be honored at this event.

Football Game, Rhodes Stadium
Cheer the Phoenix, led by head coach Rich Skrosky, as they take on the UNC Charlotte 49ers. To purchase tickets, contact the Elon Athletic Ticket Office at (336) 278-6750. (If you need assistance with tickets you have already purchased, visit the ticket office in the Koury Athletic Center until 5 p.m. on Friday or at the ticket window at Rhodes Stadium on Saturday beginning at 5:15 p.m.)

Coffee at the President’s Home
Enjoy a continental breakfast with university officials at Maynard House prior to the worship service. Transportation will be provided from McMichael Science Center parking lot. (The last bus will leave at 9:40 a.m.)
