Five alumni with backgrounds in service will participate in a panel on Nov. 6 to connect with students interested in a year of service.
Five alumni with backgrounds in service will participate in a panel on Nov. 6 at 4:15 p.m. in Moseley Center – McKinnon Hall, to connect with students interested in a year of service. Some panelists will participate in person and others will join the panel remotely via Google Hangouts on Air. Alumni, parents and friends who wish to view the panel can join the Google Hangout here.
Alumni will share details of their experiences, how they decided to pursue a service opportunity, and how it has impacted their career paths. This program is a part of the Making a World of Difference Series and is offered in support of #serviceyear, a national initiative through The Franklin Project, which aims to encourage more college students to engage in post-graduate service.

Scott Adams ’07, International Justice Mission (Uganda); currently Writer and Content Specialist for International Justice Mission in Washington, D.C.
Alyssa Dilly ’13, Comprehensive Rural Health Project; currently clinical information manager at Emergency Medical Associates in Newark, N.J., and applying for graduate school
Lexi Kay ’10, AmeriCorps VISTA; currently marketing and outreach coordinator at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Environmental Finance Center
Brian Kellaway ’05, Peace Corps; currently senior associate at Nonprofit Finance Fund in Los Angeles
Christina Strader ’11, Teach for America; currently a Fellow at the Duke Endowment in Charlotte, N.C.
