Crider delivers keynote at International Conference on Educational Innovation

Tony Crider, associate professor of physics, delivered the closing keynote address on December 17 at 1st International Conference on Educational Innovation in Mexico City.

The conference, organized by the Tecnológico de Monterrey, was designed to bring education professionals up-to-date with the latest trends and was attended by 2,000 people.

In his talk, Innovative Education with Reacting to the Past Games and Epic Final Exams, Crider described experiential learning and assessment in his Elon Core Curriculum and Honors classes. These included both Reacting to the Past games and “epic finale” final exams co-written with professor of philosophy, Anthony Weston.
