Steven Church, nonfiction reading
Johnston Hall, 7:30 p.m.
“I think of myself as a personal essayist who has written a couple of books that can be called memoirs, and another book that’s a little harder to categorize,” Church says. “I was trained in fiction writing….and use a lot of those techniques in my essays.” The author of five books, including Theoretical Killings: Essays and Accidents and The Day After The Day After: My Atomic Angst, Church is a founding editor and nonfiction editor for the literary magazine The Normal School. He teaches in the MFA program at California State University, Fresno.
