SGA and CREDE sponsor trip to International Civil Rights Center and Museum

Sunday, Jan. 25 from noon to 5 p.m. Free to students.

On Sunday, Jan. 25, SGA and the CREDE will be co-sponsoring a trip to the International Civil Rights Center and Museum in Greensboro. Following an afternoon at the center and museum, a discussion will be hosted by the CREDE to debrief the trip. The discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Randy Williams and will be on the topic of “Why We Can’t Wait and Why Now,” exploring the social context surrounding the museum and its history while bringing in examples from events in the media over the past year. The trip is free to students.

Space is limited but we will keep a waiting list in the event a space becomes available.

The outline of events for Jan. 25 is as followed:

12-12:15 p.m. – Check in for the bus- Moseley Front Desk

12:30 p.m .- Departure from Moseley Center

1:00 p.m. – Arrival at ICRCM

3:30 p.m. – Return to Moseley Center

4:00 p.m. – Discussion in CREDE*

*Depending on time spent in Greensboro, the discussion is planned to start at 4 p.m. but may start as late as 5 p.m.
