The list, selected by The Business Journal of the Triad, recognizes the most promising young business professionals under the age of 40 in the Triad area of North Carolina.
Ian Baltutis ’08[/caption]The Business Journal of the Triad has named Elon alumnus Ian Baltutis ’08 to its annual list of 40 Leaders Under Forty, a group of outstanding young professionals in the Triad recognized for past accomplishments and potential in the future.
Baltutis has developed a successful business career in Alamance County, N.C., since graduating from Elon in 2008 with a degree in business entrepreneurship. He is the founder and chief operating officer of The Vibration Solution LLC, a product design and manufacturing company he and R.J. Yozwiak ’08 started as students in 2007. The company markets “Silent Feet,” a patented vibration isolation material that silences noisy household appliances like washing machines. The product won the 2008 Evansville New Venture Creation Competition grand prize and the 2009 Reed Business Design News Golden Mousetrap Award.
Throughout the years, Baltutis has been instrumental in guiding the company to 300 percent growth. He also managed purchasing, logistics and ERP system integration for Honda Power Equipment Manufacturing from 2007 to 2011.
The Business Journal will be honoring this year’s class at a cocktail reception and awards presentation on Feb. 19 at the Elliott University Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
