Betty Garrison, business librarian, spoke about the challenges and rewards working with marketing undergraduates who help local companies to develop new and innovative marketing plans to grow their businesses.
Patrick Rudd, coordinator of Instruction and outreach services, shared his experiences working with the Elon Academy, “It Takes a Village” Project and the Winter Term 2015 Call of South Africa course.
Lynne Bisko, outreach librarian, discussed a partnership with Elon’s Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement that resulted in the shared development of an online resource to help students, and others, learn about the communities they plan to serve.
Shaunta Alvarez, archives librarian, talked about how the university archives is able to tell the story of service-learning and community engagement for many generations to come thanks to donated papers of Robert Sigmon and William R. Ramsay and an on-going partnership with the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement.
