This session is for faculty and staff members interested in learning more about mentoring students in internships.
CATL Co-sponsored Session – Internship Mentoring Workshop
Wednesday, April 22, 12:15-1:30 p.m.
Belk Pavilion 201
The session will focus on both programmatic and pedagogical aspects of high quality internships and is intended especially for faculty and staff who have little or no experience in working with internships. Also, departments interested in reviewing and rethinking the design of their internship programs will likely find the session to be helpful. The session will touch on several key aspects of developing internships such as vetting and managing placements, clarifying student learning outcomes, developing a course syllabus, and facilitating communication with site supervisors and students throughout the internship process. Cosponsored by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning and the College of Arts and Sciences, this session is open to all interested faculty and staff.
Lunch is provided. To register for this workshop, please use the registration form.
