Five people won prizes for using alternative transportation in February and an April Earth Day sweepstakes presents more opportunities to win.
AndreFebruary Zimride Communte Calendar winner, Marlena Fernandez.[/caption]a Priede, Jamie Ludwig, Jerry Waller and Nicole Triche all earned 25 points or more for recording their commute on the Zimride Commute Calendar during the Zimride contest in February. They each won $25 in gift cards for their efforts.
Points were awarded based on the type of transportation used to get to campus. Biking and walking earn the most points followed by carpooling or using a bus. Earning the most points in the contest was Marlena Fernandez who won $100 in gift cards to local businesses.
Those who post a ride on Zimride before break will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win gift cards.
This April students, faculty and staff once again have a chance to win prizes for recording their commute on Zimride’s Commute Calendar. Even students living on campus that walk or bike to class are eligible to log their commute and earn points. Enter to win one of 20 prepaid MasterCard Gift Cards ranging from $25 to $100 when you register for a new account or sign in to your Zimride profile and log your commute using the Commute Calendar between April 1, 2015 and April 30, 2015.
