The Alamance County 4-H Initiative of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension will be hosting a festival on May 16. Volunteers are needed to assist in various aspects of the program.
The Alamance County 4-H Initiative is a branch of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension. The agency’s main goal is youth development in various focus areas, such as agriculture and forestry and protecting the environment. To learn more about the work please visit the website. The agency will host the “4-H Food, Fun and Fitness Festival” on May 16th from 8 a.m.-noon and 4-6 p.m. This event will have a 4K race as well as field-day type activities from 8 a.m. to noon. Later there will be a foods show from 4-6 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help with directions, handing out water, fascilitating the field day competitions as well as food judges for the second part of the festival. For more information, please contact Erin Bain at efbain@ncsu.edu or 336-570-6740.
