Body Conditioning - Summer Session I
I’ll be teaching my conditioning class this Summer Session I. DAN 320 A Body Conditioning may be used for your Expression credit. It meets Monday-Thursday for 2 hrs. & 20 min. (1:15-3:35). There will be a lecture/discussion/guest instructor component and for workouts we’ll utilize the dance studio, gym, outdoors, and possibly the pool, pending availability. Daily workouts for 4 weeks can begin to change your body fitness level, as well as lifetime fitness habits.
Since this is a 4-day-a-week course, you will have long weekends, Friday through Sunday. I need just a few more students for the class to go. Please share this announcement with your friends. 30 m-lecture/discussion; survey of somatic methods
15 m-warm up
30 m-Pilates based core work
10 m-Break
30 m-Stretch
20 m-Relaxation/Meditation
ALTERNATE SESSION 1 – 1 day/week
60 m-Guest Teacher (massage/pilates/yoga/other)
15m-Break (move to gym, outdoors, pool, other)
40m-Gym work, walking/jogging outdoors/pool/other)
15m-Warm down/relaxation
ALTERNATE SESSION 2 – 1 day/week
75m-Meet for out-of-studio activity (gym/pool/walking outdoors/other)
30m-Core Work and Stretching (in studio/gym/outdoors)
20m-Relaxation/Meditation
