The All-Star squad included players from GWU, UNC, NCSU, UVA, GU, Duke, WFU, HPU, and Navy, as well as the players representing Elon, Sammy Sarath (forward), Nick Garfield (defenseman), and Colin Langham (goalie). The group competed extremely well, losing only to the Colonial States League and the Tournament and National Champions League, the Super East.
The final results of the tournament were:
CSCHL over ACCHL, 4-1
ACCHL over WCHC, 7-5
SEHL over ACCHL, 11-4

ACCHL over MACHA, 16-7
The ACC Hockey League All-Star team finished strong, earning 10 of its ACC record 15 points in the final two games and finished in a tie for 4th place of 12 teams. More importantly, the team portrayed exceptional conduct, and the phenomenal attitude of this group of student-athletes was commented on by numerous parents, fans, and coaches from several other tournament teams.
Mike “Sheriff” Walley commended the players representing Elon for their contributions to the All-Star squad, both on and off the ice. A few of the tournament highlights involving Elon team members include goalie Colin Langham securing the ACC’s first All-Star win in six years as well as Rookie and Freshman Sammy Sarath scored his first All-Star goals, and that the team overall recorded the fewest penalty minutes of all the teams competing in the tournament.
Overall, the ACC All-Star squad had a great weekend at the tournament and were greatly impacted by the skills and leadership of the Elon Men’s Club Ice Hockey players.
