Sarah Nelson, a physician assistant student in the Class of 2016, received an award from the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants Endowment.
On behalf of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants Endowment, Lisa Shock, PA-C, presented Sarah Nelson, PAS-2, Class of 2016, with the Lanny Parker Memorial Grant Award.
This award honors a PA or PA student with an interest in leadership and advocacy. Nelson has a passion for working with patients with substance abuse and will use her award to attend a conference in Asheville, North Carolina.
