Voices of Discovery Science Speaker Series
A popular science writer, Dunn is an associate professor of biology at North Carolina State University where his research focuses on the impact of urbanization on the ecology and evolution of organisms that co-exist with humans, especially those very small species that tend to be ignored and yet impact our lives in many ways. His recent book, “The Wild Life of Our Bodies,” addresses our complex relationship with many small species of life and the emerging concept of ecological medicine.
